oooOooOo 👻 this is a suuuuper scary paragraph block!

ahhhh! 🧟a zombified paragraph block!

Just in case this is supposed to be one or two REAL paragraphs, I will take the time to tell you about my FAVORITE movie. Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny. Halt your laughter, for this movie is a work of cinematic masterpiece hiding under the gaze of being a “lowsy stoner comedy”. For short, we will call this movie, TPD. TPD is a story of betrayal, loneliness, navigating difficult life changes, and most of all, friendship. The movie begins with our protagonist JB being kicked out of his house for his love of METAL🤘🏻! He ventures to Venice Beach to find a man by the name of Kage strumming tunes on the boardwalk. The connection JB and Kage have off the bat is undeniably electric. With what started as sparks of rivalry soon blossom into sparks of the friendship fire, where they find out together they could become the world’s greatest band. The movie continues on, showing us the softer sides of our beloved heroes. JB discovers he has a golden voice and has the potential to blow minds(literally) with his rocking pipes, however he has terrible stage fright and must learn to overcome it. Kage on the other hand, has fingers of silver, strumming the guitar like no one JB has ever seen. There is a darker secret however, Kage has been lying to JB about something. Kage had previously told JB that he worked with Aerosmith and was a huge star, but in reality he was living off his mom’s monthly checks. They were both nobodies, but that is where the magic of the movie sets in. Kage and JB were nobodies, but played as stars so people would accept them and their dreams, but now things were different. They could be themselves, to each other!

At this point in the movie, a lot of silly things happen. They break into a museum, visit sasquatch in the strawberry river, and even find a magical pick…. THE PICK OF DESTINY! It seems as though nothing can stop them, until it does. College girls approach Kage, begging him to play at their party since hes a musician, but JB says they don’t have time for girls, they need to face destiny! And just like that, they split. Such a strong bond, severed by the call of a red solo cup. At first, they both flourish alone, but then they realize they are not Tenacious D without EACH OTHER. Tenac is nothing without ious D! IN a heart warming scene, the two reunite and decide they must play a local bar contest to make rent for the month. However, they argue again, fighting over who plays with the pick of destiny. In a flash, it shatters, and from it comes the devil. He threatens Tenacious D, claiming to take them to hell, until JB suggest the idea of a rock off. This is the devil’s greatest weakness, as he MUST oblige per demon code. Kage is scared, believing it won’t work, but he trusts JB anyways. Together, the two defeat Satan and take the demon’s horn which they use to write new songs for the future. And that’s the end. Through trials, tribulations, and even a temporary break-up, Tenacious D prevail in the same situation they began in. Hungry, broke, and out of music. Although, there is one difference.

They aren’t alone. 🙂
